Our Sales Policy

We are delighted that you have shown an interest in our Mini Nubian goats. We genuinely adore this breed!
At Twin Bridge Farm (TBF), we have an unfortunate obligation to implement a "Sales Policy."
However, it is necessary for the benefit of both parties involved and ensures clear expectations for you (the buyer) as well as Twin Bridge Farm (the breeder).
Having said that, a "policy/disclaimer" ensures that everyone is on the same page, so here it goes with the following details...

Want to Buy a Goat?

The availability of kids or adult goats are first come, first served. If you're interested in a TBF kid or adult goat, fill out the "Reservation Form" and get on the list.
Once on the list potential buyers will then be notified of kids or adults available.
When notified via email a potential buyer is required to make their choice and place a non-refundable deposit of $100 per goat/kid within 24 hours using PayPal.
Without a deposit, a kid or adult goat will not be considered "reserved."

Please note that TBF does not transfer deposits from one animal to another. Each deposit is specific to the intended goat/kid.

Requirements

To send a deposit, buyers must be at least 18 years old.
All deposit payments are made through PayPal and must be sent as "FRIENDS AND FAMILY."
If the goats are not picked up after they have reached the weaning age of 8 weeks and the mutually agreed-upon date to leave, an additional fee of $20 per week will be added to the total amount until the pick-up takes place.

Transport

Animals being transported will not leave our farm until they have been fully paid for.
The buyer is responsible for covering all transportation and transport fees associated with the goats.
Prior to leaving our farm, the kids will be tattooed and have their registration application papers with them.
TBF offers transport service of our animals within a 1-hour distance from our location for no additional cost.
TBF also offers transport service for a fee. Cost varies and depends on distance from our location.
Health certificates are available at the buyer's expense. If a health certificate is required, please inform us in advance, as it entails a veterinarian visit that needs to be scheduled beforehand.
For multiple goats going to the same location, it is possible to share one Health Certificate and split the cost accordingly. The cost of health certificates, as well as any other testing, is the responsibility of the buyer.

Disease Testing

TBF takes pride in maintaining a clean, tested, and closed herd. We conduct annual testing for CAE, CL, and Johne's, and the results have consistently been negative. All adult goats in our herd have tested negative for CAE, CL, and Johne's.
Moreover, the entire herd is confirmed to be G6S normal either through parentage verification or testing. Whenever TBF acquires new goats, they are purchased exclusively from herds that are free from CAE, CL, and Johne's.
If requested, we can perform additional testing beyond our routine testing, but the expenses for such testing would be borne by the buyer.

Pricing

The selection of goats will be based on factors such as the quality of the goats produced, ie (pedigree quality, sex, eye color, and polled vs disbudded.)
At TBF, we generally do not raise bottle babies unless it is absolutely necessary. Therefore, our goat kids will be ready for their new homes at 8 weeks of age and after being weaned from the dam.
In the case of possible bottle baby kids, they will not be released until they are at least two weeks old. Moreover, they will only be placed in experienced homes where the buyers have prior experience raising bottle baby kids.
Our wether bucklings are always sold without registration papers.
A pick-up date must be mutually agreed upon by both the buyer and the breeder and must be honored.
TBF will make reasonable efforts to accommodate our buyers. However, if the buyer fails to pick up the reserved goat/kid on the agreed-upon date (a no-show), or in rare case if the buyer changes their mind, the deposit for the goat/kid is non-refundable.

*** If there is a need to change the pick-up date, the buyer must notify TBF the breeder as soon as possible. ***

Health of Animals

The health of the animal sold by TBF is not guaranteed once it leaves our property. Once the animal departs from the farm, it becomes the full responsibility of the buyer.
If the buyer wishes, we are willing to have the animal vet checked before transportation. However, any costs associated with the tests conducted, as well as a gas/time fee, will be the buyer's responsibility.
TBF reserves the right to refuse a sale to a buyer if we believe their health and safety may be at risk.
In the event that a goat kid cannot be sold due to illness, deformity, death, or the need for retention due to illness, deformity, or death, an immediate refund of the deposit and any other balances paid by the buyer will be issued.

Disbudding

TBF specializes in raising registered dairy, show, and pet quality goats. Unless a goat is naturally polled, all goats that are not naturally hornless (polled) will leave our farm after being disbudded.
For those interested in purchasing a horned goat, full payment is required within three days of the goat kid's birth.
Although TBF takes extensive measures to prevent the occurrence of scurs (regrowth of horn tissue), we cannot provide a 100% guarantee that scurs will not develop.
Nevertheless, we assure you that TBF will make every effort to minimize the likelihood of scur forming.

Right to Change

TBF reserves the right to make changes to any breeding plans or schedule as it deems necessary.
TBF also reserves the right to terminate any sale at any time, in which case a full refund of the amount already paid will be provided.
Furthermore, TBF retains the right to keep any kid born on the farm, even if there is an existing reservation for the animal.
Please note that no goat is sold with the expectation of guaranteed fertility, longevity, or lasting soundness.
While all goats leave the farm in excellent health, we cannot guarantee their health and longevity beyond the point of leaving TBF. We have no control over the conditions in which the sold goat will be living once it is off our farm.
It is the buyer's responsibility to maintain the animal in excellent health once it has left TBF farm.

Registrations

Our dairy goat herd is registered with MDGA (Miniature Dairy Goat Association) and ADGA (American Dairy Goat Association). When purchasing kids, they will be accompanied by registration applications or the final registration certificate.
For adults, they will be sold with the registration certificate, unless there is a circumstance where they are no longer able to be bred. In such cases, no registration paperwork will be transferred.
The responsibility of paying the registration and transfer fees lies with the buyer. It is important for the buyer to handle these fees to complete the registration process.

Our Guarantee

We assure you that our goats are in good health when they leave our farm. However, once they have left our property, we do not have control over their well-being and cannot provide any guarantees.
Nevertheless, we are always delighted to assist new owners and maintain a connection to hear about how our goats are doing. We appreciate staying in touch and receiving updates.
Twin Bridge Farm would like to request the opportunity of "First Right of Refusal." This means that if you decide to sell any of the animals purchased from us at any point, we would appreciate the chance to buy them back first. !!!! We kindly ask that you please reach out to us in such circumstances !!!!

We are more than happy to help new owners and love to keep in touch to find out how the new arrivals are doing!
